Boaters were busy putting pen to paper so they can get their crafts into the water when a firm contracted to administer the exam to obtain a pleasure craft operator card from the federal government participated in the Northern B.C. Sportsmen Expo held Saturday at the Civic Centre and Coast Inn of the North.
With a 10-year phase-in period now at an end, Brent McNamee of BoaterExam.com said the service is busier than ever - and it showed as a good number of people lined up to take the 36-question exam with the aim of scoring 75 per cent or better.
