The magazine, distributed to 47,000 municipal officials across Canada, featured Prince George in its January edition.

An article written by Prince George city councillor Garth Frizzell promoted the city's development of a bioenergy-fueled downtown district energy system, as well as bioenergy projects at UNBC and Canfor Pulp.

"We began discussing the bioenergy projects in Prince George last summer at the annual general meeting of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities," Frizzell said in a written statement. "... it really became clear what a significant moment Prince George has reached."
