A Prince George company wants to build a "biocarbon" plant in Isle Pierre that would convert wood waste into the "next generation" of energy pellet.
Using a special refining process, the material, which could also include municipal waste and tires, would be converted into pellets that would deliver 70-per-cent higher density than the conventional wood pellet, claims Alterna Biocarbon Inc. in its product literature.
