Not only is it a good way to stay fit and enjoy the great outdoors but it's also a way to reduce a person's environmental footprint.

It's Bike to Work Week.

There are 371 people registered so far and with almost 600 riders participating last year, there are more people expected to register and participate during the week, said Jessy Rajan, the co-ordinator of the event.

There are T-shirts available that sees Mr. PG riding a bike and the cost for the uniquely designed shirt is $10 each.

There are great prizes up for grabs including a province-wide grand prize trip of a lifetime that features a cycling adventure for two in Vietnam.

To make sure to be counted for Prince George, people are asked to register online at biketowork.ca/prince-george.
