Charging parents a fee for sending their children to school by school bus is up for consideration as school board trustees took steps Tuesday to launch a review in the face of a $500,000 cost overrun for the service.
Reducing or augmenting the service is up for debate as trustees agreed to establish a committee of the whole to come up with more specific recommendations to tackle the overrun.
In turn, the recommendations will be taken to a broad public consultation before final decisions are made in time to set the 2011-12 budget.
