Prince George residents looking for a steal of a deal can rely on the Auction Mall to bring more than $300,000 worth of merchandise to their online bargaining table until April 24.

Some of the big ticket items are a truck, a snowmobile, an ATV, a dirt bike, a kid's quad and houseboat vacations, while other great deals include gift certificates for spa days, local restaurants, the latest in fashion and patio furniture.

For the rest of what's up for grabs people can check out www.auctionmall.ca.

"This is a great way to connect a lot of local businesses in town with new and loyal customers offering great deals," said Norm Coyne of the Prince George Citizen. "We've got some new businesses in the Auction Mall like Black Clover, a downtown pub, and P.S. Piano Service that's put a piano in the auction."

Savvy online shoppers can make a strategic plan to make the most of the many items to be sold at a fraction of their actual value.

"There's everything in this auction to make it a perfect day," said Coyne.

Putting together a girls' day and a boys' day would be easy with Auction Mall items gathered at a fraction of their worth, Coyne added.

Start with a gift certificate for a spa party for up to eight girls between the ages of five and 12, then off for a frozen yogurt treat.

As evening approaches take the spruced up little ladies for dinner at one of the many fine dining restaurants in Prince George, and finish off the children's day with a trip to the symphony orchestra, suggested Coyne.

For the boys it's all about rough and tumble fun with a ride on an ATV or a mini quad, a visit to a local fitness centre to show them how to maintain their healthy lifestyle, or a round of golf, then off to dinner, because that kind of treat can't just be for the girls and then finish of the boys' day with a rousing hockey game to watch their local Spruce Kings in action, said Coyne.

Or just mix it up to suit the children's interests.

Then when all the little ones are snug in their beds after a great day filled with memory-making events, it's time for the grown ups to head out to one of the many after-hours entertainment establishments.

"There's something for everyone in this auction," said Coyne.

Remember the closing dates on the bids for the auction items are staggered so be sure to be on the lookout for items closing early.
