The Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce and Grande Prairie Petroleum Association have postponed the 2021 Peace Region Petroleum Show to 2022.

The decision was made based partly on input from a survey of past exhibitors and attendees as well as the pandemic-related uncertainty in the oil and gas sector and the trade show industry.

“The current climate full of travel restrictions, health and safety restrictions, and budget cutbacks combined with immense uncertainty, all contributed to the decision to postpone. We look forward to continuing to work with our partners at the Grande Prairie Petroleum Association to breathe new life into our show and make 2022 a huge success for the industry partners and region! “, said Tanya Oliver, Manager of the Peace Region Petroleum Show and CEO of the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce.

The next Peace Region Petroleum Show will now be scheduled for May 18-19, 2022 at Evergreen Park.

“We believe allowing another year for the industry to continue to evolve and adapt to the ever-changing landscape is the logical way to proceed. This gives companies time to reassess their financial positions and hopefully see some positive traction from announced programs and projects “, said Trevor Denis, President of the Grande Prairie Petroleum Association.

The Peace Region Petroleum Show has been a biennial event since 1995.

The event attracts hundreds of indoor and outdoor booths and thousands of visitors to create opportunities by connecting with businesses involved in the oil and gas industry.
