Northern Building Awards celebrated the best in residential and commercial construction in Northern B.C. over the last two years.
The community institutional category excellence award and judges' choice for best over all was the Klemtu Ferry Terminal on Swindle Island, built by Bear Creek
Contracting of Terrace.

District Energy Plant of Prince George in industrial;
The Keg of Prince George in commercial renovation/restoration;
100 Mile House Branch Library in wood/log buildings;
Can-Am Geomatics of Fort St. John in commercial.
Awards of Merit went to 7045 Hart Highway (Hart Haven) in community - senior's housing; Northern Lights College - Centre of Excellence for Clean Energy Technology of Dawson Creek in community/institutional; Bank of Nova Scotia of Prince George in commercial renovation/restoration; and an honorable mention went to the South Cariboo Business Centre in 100 Mile House in commercial
renovation/restoration.
Rise Construction of Prince George took home four trophies in the residential awards: single family detached home 1,500 to 2,499 square foot; single family detached home over 3,500 sq. ft.; excellence in creating an interior feature; and green builder/renovator of the year.
Van Way Cabinets also won in four categories: excellence in kitchen renovation under $50,000; excellence in kitchen renovation over $50,000; excellence in kitchen design under $40,000; and excellence in kitchen design over $40,000.
Infinity Group/Prince George Lands Joint Venture was tops in single family detached home 2,100 to 2,499 sq. ft. and single family detached home 2,500 to 3,499 sq. ft. Investgo Ventures won single family detached home 1,100 to 1,499 sq. ft.; Hayer Homes won for semi detached or town home development; and Paradise Cabinets & Countertops won for excellence in kitchen design valued under $40,000.
