A 23-year-old Prince George man was sentenced Monday to a further 33 days in jail for a bear spraying incident at a local trailer park.
Lazare Francis Sampson was arrested Sept. 17. RCMP happened to be in the Lombardy Mobile Home Park when they saw two males put bandanas over their faces, knock on the door of a home and spray the occupant.
Both fled on bikes and while one got away, Sampson was arrested.
Sampson, who has remained in custody since his arrest, was sentenced to one year probation and issued a 10-year firearms prohibition on one count of assault with a weapon. Sampson was also issued the same term for breaching probation and was assessed $400 in victim surcharges.
