Bear spray used in supermarket robbery

Police are on the lookout for a middle-aged man after two employees at the Real Canadian Superstore were bear sprayed during the course of a holdup on Wednesday evening.

Police are on the lookout for a middle-aged man after two employees at the Real Canadian Superstore were bear sprayed during the course of a holdup on Wednesday evening.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian, 35-40 years old, with short dark hair with some grey and a stubble beard and wearing dark clothes and sun glasses. He made off with a quantity of cash and fled in a small, dark coloured four-door sedan.

Police were called to the scene at 2155 Ferry Ave. at 5:30 p.m.
