B.C. Premier John Horgan gave the keynote address at the 2019 BC Natural Resources Forum in Prince George.

The BC Natural Resources Forum is returning as a live, in-person event in January after two years as a virtual event during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The forum will be held at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre from Jan. 17 to Jan. 19 next year.

“The forum in January 2023 will mark the 20th anniversary of this must attend event for leaders in Western Canada’s natural resource sectors,” a statement released by the event organizers on Thursday said. “We are proud to celebrate this milestone in person, revisit our local traditions, and bring people together to highlight the opportunities for our province!”

Prior to 2021 and 2022, the annual event typically brought hundreds of industry, government and Indigenous leaders to Prince George for several days of networking and presentations. But during the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was forced to go to a virtual format due to restrictions on public gatherings.
