Barkerville Brewing earned some top showings at the B.C. Beer Awards on Saturday.
Its White Gold Witbier took first place in the Belgian-German Wheat category and its 52 Foot Stout won second place in the Stout-Porter category.
"We are extremely proud of head brewer Troy Rudolph and his team for his exceptional recipes and desire to keep pushing the envelope with his new hand-crafted takes on established classic beer styles," said Barkerville Brewing sales and marketing vice president John Fitterer.
White Gold is a "refreshing, Belgian wheat beer that starts out citrus on the palate but finishes crisp with hints of stone fruit."
It's made with coriander and orange peel and is 4.9 per cent in alcohol volume.
52 Foot is a full-bodied, seven per cent stout "with just enough hops to counter the big and bold chocolate malt backbone."
