The elderly man accused of robbing a bank made an appearance in Prince George provincial court on Monday.
Garry Robert Beaven, 75, who faces one count of robbery, was released on an undertaking that requires him to remain at his place of residence, Simon Fraser Lodge. He is also to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and is next scheduled to appear on Oct. 20.
Police apprehended Beaven at Spruceland Mall on Friday a short distance away from the scene of a robbery at Scotiabank in which a man with a walker demanded cash from the teller.
