Swollen Members is one of Canada's leading hip-hop music acts, and they also have a history of involvement with organized crime. Police and The Citizen are now wondering if a Prince George line has now been written in that saga.
Vocalist Mad Child (real name Shane Bunting) had a highly publicized addiction to Oxycontin and other drugs, and an equally disturbing connection to the Vancouver and Kelowna Hells Angels. He openly admits to spending half a million dollars on pills to feed his addiction, and estimates he lost $2 million more in bad deals and opportunity costs during his years of active using.
