A women's version of Baldy Hughes is in the planning stages.
The Citizen is the first to report that a women's addiction recovery facility is in the works modelled on the residential therapeutic community for men. The Baldy Hughes location, situated far down Blackwater Road past West Lake, is the only one of its kind in Canada and open only to men. Now advocates are examining the possibilities of one for women also to be located somewhere in the Prince George region.
