A man caught trying to steal a bait bike was sentenced Thursday to 12 days in jail for the crime.
Orlando James Egnell, 31, was also sentenced to one year probation during a hearing in Prince George provincial court.
RCMP said he attempted to make off with the bike just four minutes after it was put out..
The sentence also applies to a count of theft, $5,000 or under from an offence committed on the same day.
