A Hart area family says they're unable to sell their home for fair market value because of the dilapidated state of the house next door.
Greg and Maureen Hoff first listed their house, located on a large lot at 5789 Cook Crescent for $240,000 but have since lowered the asking price to $180,000.
In an interview, Greg Hoff said half the decline is due to the soft market but asserted the rest is because the neighbouring house has sat vacant and has fallen into disrepair in the three-and-a-half years since its previous owners were forced to sell because of financial trouble.
