Some bright red stiletto boots made their debut at the CN Centre this morning — wearing the boots was none other than CN Centre manager Glen Mikkelsen.

Kinky Boots tells the tale of Charlie Price, a young man reluctantly taking over his family’s struggling shoe factory and looking for a fresh idea. Charlie meets a performer named Lola, who is in need of some new stilettos.
“Why am I dressed like this? Why are we making a big deal about Kinky Boots?” asked Mikkelsen during the announcement, noting he saw the show on Broadway and thought it was the best show he had ever seen. “It’s a really wonderful Broadway show that features messages of inclusion and diversity and acceptance."
Although the musical isn’t coming to town until next March, tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 9 at www.ticketsnorth.ca.
