Prince George Ford donated 200 face shields to the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation this week.
Ford has repurposed its vehicle plant in Windsor, Ont. to produce personal protective equipment for medical personnel and first responders during the COVID-19 pandemic. The automaker is distributing the equipment to local healthcare workers through its dealership network.
"We are proud to donate these 200 shields to Northern Health and help support the front line workers right here in our community," a statement issued by Prince George Ford said. "Prince George Ford has strived for a more personal connection with the community in the last few years and we look to continue that push for connection. We hope it helps bring some sense of security in these unprecedented times."
