Fix Canada or Lose It is the dire warning Alberta author Jeff Willerton uttered in the title of his book that he signs today from noon to 4 p.m. at Books & Co., 1685 Third Avenue.
Willerton's book is a political commentary of historical facts and current events sewn together into a puzzle he said everyone can understand.
"As one gentleman said a 12-year-old can understand it as easily as this old truck driver," Willerton said.
The political bug bit Willerton really hard in 1990. At that time he began reading everything he could on the subject and in 1998 he was able to write a weekly column for three north central Alberta newspapers.
"I was told time and again it was the first thing people turned to in the paper," said Willerton. "I did the column for a year and a half and then put my columns together into book format and have been revising and updating it ever since and now it's in its 10th edition. It's as current as the passing of Jack Layton."
