A charge of attempted murder has been stayed against a woman arrested following a stabbing Tuesday night in the 2500 block of Oak Street that sent a 55-year-old man to hospital.
Instead, Kari-Jo Sawyer, 46, now faces a charge of aggravated assault in addition to continuing to face a charge of assault with a weapon.
The change was made during a hearing Thursday at the Prince George courthouse. Sawyer was also released on a recognizance.
The man suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police have said the two are known to each other.
