Prince George RCMP attended an assault report in the 2000 block of Pine Street about 7:30 a.m. Monday.
A caller advised police she had found a male covered in blood at her door step. It was apparent that the male had been assaulted.
The 43-year-old victim, who told police he had been assaulted by a number of suspects, was taken to UHNBC for medical care.
Police are investigating the incident, but it is not known at this time if the assailants were known to the victim.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the assault or have any information that can identify the suspects to contact the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or call Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous at 1-800-222-TIPS.
