Prince George residents who would like to become part of a new installation planned for the Prince George airport will get their chance on Saturday, March 31.

That's when public artwork artist Aiden Callison will be at UNBC, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to take photos of as many people as possible for a portrait chandelier to be suspended inside the arrivals terminal at the airport.

Callison is looking for 400 photographs of people who call Prince George their home for the work, meant to celebrate the city's cultural diversity.

If interested contact Kelley Hilton at Welcome PG, 250-562-2900 or [email protected], to book a time slot to avoid standing in line.

There is more information on the WelcomePG website and the artwork's Facebook page "celebrating diversity public art project PG."

The installation is scheduled to be in place by the end of May.
