Arson is possibly the cause of a backyard fire on 8th Avenue.
A shed in the 1700 block was somehow set ablaze at about 10:40 p.m. Monday, bringing 13 firefighters from two municipal fire halls.
"The fire was quickly attacked, however due to the deep-seated fire in a large amount of stored material it took some time to extinguish the fire and overhaul the hot spots," said assistant fire chief Drew Larsen.
"There were three people home at the time, however there were no injuries. Radiant heat from the fire did damage the siding at the rear of the home as well as damaging a nearby car in the driveway."
Damage is estimated at about $25,000 and Larsen said fire investigators consider the incident suspicious.
