Army cadets underway for new year

The Rocky Mountain Rangers cadet corps are now underway with their yearly activities. The army-based youth group is free for anyone to take part in between the ages of 12 and 18 and is are based at the Connaught Youth Centre.

The army-based youth group is free for anyone to take part in between the ages of 12 and 18 and is are based at the Connaught Youth Centre.

"The program aims to develop in youth the attributes of citizenship, leadership, promote physical fitness and to stimulate an interest in the land element of the Canadian Forces," said Capt. Wally McCue, commander of the group. "Army cadets focus on marksmanship, land navigation, fieldcraft, and adventure training."
