Armed robberies at local retail businesses

RCMP investigators believe that the same suspect may be responsible for four robberies that have occurred in Prince George since May 20. The most recent of which occurred on Friday and Sunday. On Friday, just after 10 p.m.

RCMP investigators believe that the same suspect may be responsible for four robberies that have occurred in Prince George since May 20. The most recent of which occurred on Friday and Sunday.

On Friday, just after 10 p.m., RCMP received a report of a robbery from a retail store on the 1600 block of 15th Avenue.

Police attended and believe that an Caucasian male entered the business and produced an edged weapon while demanding money.

The suspect departed the business with a quantity of cash and may have left the area in a blue mini van.

On Sunday at 3 a.m., RCMP received a report of a robbery from a retail store on the 1700 block of Queensway.

Police attended and believe an Caucasian male entered the business and produced an edged weapon and demanded money.

The suspect departed the business with a quantity of cash.

Police Service Dog Astro and his handler attended the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Police are actively investigating both incidents and believe the same male may be responsible for both robberies and possibly two others.

No one was physically hurt during any of these offences.
