The Prince George Council of Seniors is offering help to those caring for seniors in Prince George.
It’s a new program called Friends and Family Caregiver Support Program to help people maneuver through the challenges faced by caregivers and offers practical ideas to help care for a loved one if the care giver is feeling frustrated, angry, sad, overwhelmed, guilty, helpless, hopeless and tired. Weekly coffee/social chat gatherings, indoor and outdoors depending on the weather; monthly lunch and learn workshops that feature guest speakers, continuing education, support and self care, in person or online, weather dependant; wellness check in with those unable to attend the groups and there’s even a group snowshoe, weather dependant.
