A second floor apartment in the 2500 block of Oak Street was on fire Thursday night at about 10:30 when Prince George Fire Rescue responded with 19 firefighters from four halls.
Crews found the apartment building with heavy smoke and flames coming the from the second storey apartment.
The crew established a positive pressure ventilation and fought the fire from the interior.
The fire was contained to the apartment where it started.
The only occupant was taken to hospital and treated for minor smoke inhalation.
The damage is estimated at $150,000 and the fire is under investigation.
