Members of the Kootenay to Kitimat Caravan to stop the Northern Gateway pipeline will be in Prince George today, handing out leaflets at the corner of Victoria and 15th Avenue from 5 to 6 p.m.
"The Caravan is carrying a message from the Kootenays to the First Nations and other communities on the pipeline route to say we support them in stopping the pipeline," said Keith Wiley, who has been working with a small group, Kootenays for a Pipeline-Free BC.
Members will also be making stops in several other B.C. communities.
"We know that many people in Prince George - as in every BC community - are really opposed to this pipeline project and its environmental hazards," said Wiley.
