A rally against the harmonized sales tax is planned for Prince George.

Organizers are encouraging those who oppose the tax to show up at Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Pat Bell's office, 770 East Central Street, on Sat., Sept. 25, 10 a.m. start.

"This is a bad tax that will cost ordinary British Columbians billions of dollars, and it was brought in using anti-democratic methods," Eric Allen, riding captain for the local "Fight HST" committee, said in a press release.

"If the provincial government continues to defy the will of the people and refuses to eliminate the tax, campaigns to recall Liberal MLAs will most definitely be launched."
