Anthony Willier found guilty, sentenced to life in prison for first degree murder in death of Nathan Marshall

Anthony Robert Willier was sentenced to life in prison without a chance for parole for at least 25 years Wednesday evening after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder in the Feb. 17, 2010 shooting death of Nathan Alcide Marshall.

Anthony Robert Willier was sentenced to life in prison without a chance for parole for at least 25 years Wednesday evening after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder in the Feb. 17, 2010 shooting death of Nathan Alcide Marshall.

Willier, 21, was silent upon learning the verdict and hung and slowly shook his head when B.C. Supreme Court Justice James Williams asked if he had anything to say prior to sentencing. He uttered a quiet "no" when asked a second time.

Williams gave Willier a scolding prior to giving the mandatory sentence, saying the case amounts to a very sad and sorry state of affair and demonstrates the wretched state of drug dealing and gang activity.
