Only one undefeated team remains at the B.C. Scotties women's provincial curling championship and her name comes as no surprise.

Kelly Scott of Kelowna scored her third straight win Tuesday afternoon at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club defeating Marla Mallett of the Cloverdale Curling Club in Surrey 7-4. Scott, who has won six of the past nine B.C. provincial championships, is now in the catbird seat one third of the way through the round robin.

Two previously unbeaten teams went down to defeat Tuesday afternoon. Kesa Van Osch of Victoria fell behind 5-0 after four ends to Sarah Wark of Victoria and lost 11-6.

Karla Thompson of Kamloops suffered her first lost of the week, falling 9-4 to Allison MacInnes of Abbotsford.

Van Osch, Thompson and MacInnes are joined at 2-1 by Patti Knezevic. The Prince George skip scored three in the fifth and three more in the eighth in a 11-6 win over Amy Gibson of Vancouver.

Gibson, Wark, Mallett and Prince George's Tracey Jones are all 1-2. Jones beat Shawna Jensen of Victoria 12-7 in a game which featured seven lead changes as the teams kept trading deuces. Jones stole four in the 10th end to secure the win.

The top four teams qualify for the playoffs, which begin on Friday.
