Ken Killcullen is the recipient of the Sally Ann Award presented by the Salvation Army.

This is their most prestigious award given to the person who best exemplifies what the mission and spirit of the Salvation Army is all about.

The award will be presented at the second annual Spirit of the Salvation Army Recognition Dinner held to recognize significant supporters in the community.

Mayor Dan Rogers is the recipient of the Public Figure of the Year Award for his work in support of the non-profit sector.

"The Spirit of the Salvation Army is best expressed through the work of our volunteers, the donations of our supporters and the assistance of many businesses and community groups here in Prince George," said executive director Bruce Kirk. "We are going to recognize many of our supporters on a very special night at the Ramada Hotel on Saturday and are inviting our supporters to join us.

The Salvation Army will also honour their volunteer of the year, corporate sponsor of the year, community organization award, media award, individual donor of the year, corporate citizenship award and youth award.

Tickets are $35 each and are available at the Salvation Army Thrift Stores or by calling the church office at 250-564-4000, ext. 226. This is a self-funded event, no donor dollars will be used for this event.
