School board trustees are holding an extra meeting on Tuesday night to catch up on a backlog of items.

They will consider an amended annual budget for 2010-11 totaling $127.7 million based on actual student enrollments as of Sept. 30.

The total is up from the $126.5 million provided for in the budget trustees approved in June, but is down from the $129.3-million amended budget they adopted a year ago.

Trustees will also hear presentations from Yellowhead Rotary Club president Gordon Lloyd , from principals and vice principals involved in the secondary school attendance support program and from Centre for Learning Alternatives principal Chris Molcak and vice-principal Kevin Baldridge.

Changing the name of John McInnis Junior Secondary School to John McInnis Centre is also on the agenda.

And trustees will consider a letter from Education Minister Margaret MacDiarmid about the B.C. enterprise Student Information System (BCeSIS). Teachers have complained the system has been troublesome.
