Crown counsel has approved charges against three people arrested on Wednesday night in relation to what police have described as violent offences.
Nikita Lorraine Joseph, 27, faces one count each of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of a probation order for allegedly pulling a knife during a confrontation with another woman at the corner of Spruce Street and 15th Avenue.
Police had been called to the scene at 6:20 p.m. Then, at about 8:40 p.m., they were called to a 1600-block Central Street East motel where RCMP were told a Lower Mainland man had been bear sprayed and his wallet stolen before two suspects fled in a vehicle.
A subsequent investigation led police to a 2100-block Norwood Street home where they arrested two men. Daniel Barry Lee Campbell, 32, and David James Cornell, 29, have each been charged with one count each of robbery and assault with a weapon.
All three remained in custody as of Thursday.
