Tis the season and the Child Development Centre's gift wrap booth is open outside of Sears at the Pine Centre Mall. Thousands of gifts are annually wrapped at the booth, with proceeds supporting regional activities of the CDC and the Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Darrell Roze, the CDC's executive director, says that "this in an important fundraiser for us. It is only through the tremendous and continuing community support that we are able to provide the depth and breadth of the services that we do." The booth will be open during Mall hours, right up to 3 p.m. on Dec. 24.
