A director of cargo development has been hired, Prince George Airport Authority announced today.
Allan Ridgway, 58, has 40 years experience in air, rail, trucking and ocean freight, and takes over part of the vacancy that emerged when Todd Doherty left in late February to become the director of route development at Edmonton International Airport.
Although he will work full-time for the PGAA, Ridgway will remain in Delta where he lives.
"That's where most of the Western Canadian freight forwarders are anyway, and the main airlines that we're talking to," Gibson said. "He'll be in Prince George when we need him in Prince George."
