Tonight, the public can do a fly-by of one of its most significant institutions. The annual airport analysis meeting will touch down at the Railway and Forestry Museum, so YXS officials can meet with residents about how things are going on the local runways.

"It's an opportunity for the public to come learn more about the airport, what our plans are, and we can answer questions that the public might have," said YXS spokeswoman Lindsay Cotter. "We are an integral part of the community and the growth of the economy. The best thing we can do is educate the public and engage with people about the programs we're working on, have some one-on-one time with the team."

A visual presentation will list off the main hurdles and highlights, and the airport's official annual report will also be released at the meeting.

"President and CEO John Gibson will be on hand presenting on the 2013 year with a brief look ahead to 2014," said Cotter. "He will discuss YXS's financials, challenges and accomplishments."

The meeting opens at 5 p.m. and is free of charge.
