An air quality advisory issued this morning has been ended but the possibility of severe thunderstorms remains in place.
The advisory was withdrawn at about 2 p.m. after the amount of fine particulate in the city's air had dropped down to a safer level.
However, a notice Environment Canada also issued this morning warning that conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms remains in effect.
"Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!," Environment Canada said.
