Air advisory cancelled

A change in the wind has brought an end to the wildfire smoke advisory.

A change in the wind has brought an end to the wildfire smoke advisory.

The Ministry of Environment and Northern Health cancelled the air warning this afternoon, citing an improvement in air quality resulting "from a change in the weather pattern with a westerly flow of air."

The initial advisory was issued Monday evening after smoke from wildfires burning in Siberia and east Asia created a hazy atmosphere over the city and surrounding areas.
