Male workers in construction, trucking, road maintenance and shipping, as well as those who work in sawmills and in the pulp and paper industry, are being asked to weigh in about active living and healthy eating in the workplace.
The discussion is set for Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Friday from 1 to 3 p.m.
These two-hour long meetings are presented by Northern Health, the B.C. Cancer Agency, the Canadian Cancer Society, and the University of British Columbia. They are working together to develop the Men's Healthy Eating and Active Living program to be designed for workplaces in northern B.C.
Dinner or lunch is provided and participants get a $50 gift card for their trouble.
Participation is voluntary and will be digitally recorded. Only the research team will have access to information shared in the discussions. The information gathered is confidential.
