Numbers related to the state of COVID-19 in Northern Health are continuing to produce a mixed message.
Active cases stood at 850, according to B.C. Centre for Disease Control statistics issued Thursday, a jump of 113 from the total reported the day before.
However, hospitalizations declined by five to 13 and the number of those patients in critical care stood at just three, compared to five on Wednesday.
Unfortunately, one more death was reported, pushing the total for the region to 277 since the pandemic was declared nearly two years ago.
