A Sunday afternoon fire has caused an estimated $500,000 in damages to a Ferguson Lake Road home.
The "secluded residence" was ablaze when the 16 firefighters from three halls arrived, and though they tried to enter, the crew was forced to withdraw.
That meant firefighters made a defensive attack, said the City of Prince George press release.
There were no injuries as no one was home when the fire started at the 5000 block of Ferguson Lake Road.
An early investigation suggests a cooking accident caused the fire, which crews responded to at about 1:24 p.m.
