RCMP closed Highway 97 south of Prince George on Wednesday, following a single-vehicle crash.
Just after noon, officers were called to a crash on the highway, near Kolling Road roughly 18 kilometres north of Hixon.
RCMP closed the highway for the safety of first responders on the scene. In addition to the crash, there is a report of a downed power line in the area, creating an additional safety hazard.
Anyone travelling south from Prince George can expect a several-hour delay, according to a statement issued by the police.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.
