Aboriginal school makes history

In an historic gesture, School District 57 trustees voted unanimously in favour of implementing B.C.'s very first aboriginal-choice elementary school.

In an historic gesture, School District 57 trustees voted unanimously in favour of implementing B.C.'s very first aboriginal-choice elementary school.

This school will, therefore, open in September at the present home of Carney Hill elementary school, which already has a student population of 88 per cent self-identified as aboriginal descent.
