Authors, advocates, artists and experiential people will gather in Prince George for four days to explore the story of justice in the aboriginal context.

March 23 is the launch of the 2010 Aboriginal Justice Workshop, subtitled 'The Healing Journey.' Some of the anticipated highlights include speeches by Sandra Martins-Toner (author of "The Last Six Minutes"), Earl Silverman (from the The Family of Men Support Society), Rhondee LaForme (her address is entitled "When you are too close to the accused" about family impact), and Gloria Lizzote (Edmonton educator who bridges the gap between western and aboriginal learning techniques).

Also on the schedule are performances by the Street Spirits Theatre Company, musician Laura Vinson, percussionist Lyle Tribe, and more artists and crafters.

Many local, regional and provincial officials from agencies and government departments affected by aboriginal justice will also present information.

The conference is hosted by the Urban Aboriginal Justice Society. It takes place at the Civic Centre. For more information call 250-562-7928.
