RCMP were stampeded with about 250 police calls during Williams Lake's biggest annual event.

During the Williams Lake Stampede July 1 to 5 police imprisoned 122 persons including 105 for intoxication or causing a disturbance by being intoxicated; nine for allegedly failing to abide by court-ordered release conditions, two for alleged theft under $5,000, two on outstanding arrest warrants; one for alleged assault; one for alleged sexual assault; one under the Mental Health Act and one serving a court-ordered intermittent sentence.

Eight drivers were apprehended for impaired driving, and will possibly face charges once circumstances have been reviewed.

Six drivers had drivers licenses suspended for 24 hours due to blood alcohol level or suspected drug use. Reported incidents of violence and vandalism were low.
