The Hart Highway area was the target for three incidents where glass doors were smashed and two community halls and one vacant building entered by offenders whom police believe are responsible for three crimes occurring between 6:40 and 8:40 a.m. Tuesday.'.
The first, attended by police at at 6:40 a.m., occurred at the Hart Pioneer Centre on the Hart Highway where police say glass doors had been smashed and unknown suspects had entered the office.
At 6:45 a.m. members responded to an alarm from the Hart Community Centre on Austin Road West where a vehicle had driven through two sets of glass doors and the foyer where they hit an inside wall. Damage was extensive to the inside and exterior of the hall, but nothing was missing, according to the property owner.
It was 8:40 a.m. when RCMP were called to the vacant PG Pumphouse on Noranda Road East after a passerby noticed extensive damage to the building. Police found a vehicle had driven through the glass door of the vacant beer and wine store. Nothing was taken from the premises.
Due to a number of key factors, police believe the same offenders are responsible for all three crash and enters.
Police, who are investigating, are seeking a dark coloured pickup truck with extensive damage to the front of the vehicle, and ask anyone with information regarding the vehicle or the breaks and enters to contact the Prince George RCMP or call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
