Prince George RCMP reported a comparatively calm New Year’s Eve than most with 92 service calls taking place late night on Dec. 31 into the early morning hours of Jan. 1, 2024.
Calls were mostly about disturbances and incidents caused by intoxicated individuals, which is typical for the celebratory event.
In 2023, the local police force attended more than 45,000 calls for service, slightly down from more than 46,000 in 2022.
