On April 9 the Quesnel RCMP Drug Section seized growing equipment and marijuana plants valued at more than $300,000 at a residence in the 2000 block of Vernon Road. Upon entering the residence, police arrested a 50-year-old Asian male from Vancouver who has been released on a promise to appear in court May 18. Investigation shows theft of electricity and that the grow-op has links to Asian organized crime in the Lower Mainland.
